Breast Cancer

Every year, more than 180,000 American women are diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s the second-most common form of cancer in women, and the second most deadly. But in spite of these sobering statistics, there is every reason for hope. Advanced diagnostic tests and newer, more effective treatment options are making it possible for more and more women to survive this disease.

At Swedish, we have the resources and expertise to meet all your breast health-care needs. The Swedish Breast Centers offer comprehensive breast care, including screening and prevention services and advanced diagnostics for the full range of breast problems. When the diagnosis is breast cancer, Swedish offers women hope in the form of the Swedish Cancer Institute — Washington state's leading breast-cancer and clinical research program.
