Teams are led by orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists. orthopedic nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and coordinated-care specialists

Our spine treatment specialists include board-certified orthopedic surgeons and physiatrists. From degenerative disorders to traumatic injuries, they care for hundreds of patients every year – many with very complex spine issues.

Rehabilitation is a crucial aspect of the treatment process for many back and neck problems.
Our physiatrists are experts in evaluating and treating all types of injuries spine injuries and conditions without surgical intervention. Their goal: to help patients return to their normal activities, as free from pain as possible.

Our orthopedic surgeons are renowned for their vast experience and advanced techniques. At the Swedish Orthopedic Institute, they operate in one of the most sophisticated healthcare facilities on the West Coast.

Mary West, R.N., is a specially trained nurse who is our spine care coordinator. She can help you determine which type of provider is most qualified to manage and treat your particular condition. She will assist you with scheduling any testing, treatment, and follow-up care.
