Our Team

The Cardiovascular Diagnostic Imaging Center team has decades of experience – all focused on providing high quality test results that will give referring physicians a clearer picture of what is happening with their patients’ hearts. Our team includes:

All of these skilled health-care professionals have completed at least two to four years of training in their field of expertise.

Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)

A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who has completed additional education and training (a master’s or doctoral degree). Nurse practitioners are licensed by the state of Washington to provide some of the same care that is provided by a physician, including prescribing medicine and treatments.

Registered Nurse (R.N.)

A registered nurse is a health-care professional who received a bachelor’s or associate degree in nursing. Registered nurses have been trained to observer, evaluate and assess patients, administer medication and treatments, and assist with diagnostic tests.

Cardiac sonographer (also known as echocardographers)

A cardiac sonographer has received training in the use of an ultrasound to view and create images of the chambers, vessels, valves and walls of the patient’s heart. The images are called echocardiograms. This is a noninvasive procedure because it does not require inserting anything into the heart. Our cardiac sonographers have additional training to be able to perform 3D echocardiograms.

Vascular sonographer

Vascular technologists are trained to use ultrasound to listen to and evaluate blood flow, blood pressure, the level of oxygen in the blood and circulation in the patient’s veins and arteries. This is a noninvasive procedure because the vascular sonographer does not need to insert anything into the veins or arteries.

Nuclear medicine technologist

A nuclear medicine technologist has received specialized training to administer a dose of radioactive medication and to use a camera to follow the medication as it travels through the veins, arteries and heart while the patient is at rest or exercising. The technologist will create computer images for a physician to evaluate.

Administrative & support staff

Our administrative and support staff ensure the center operates efficiently and our patients receive the tests their physicians have requested. They schedule appointments and are available to answer questions about insurance and billing.
