The Gossman Center sponsors center-based courses and in-situ simulation sessions designed to teach multidisciplinary healthcare teams the principles of crisis resource management (CRM), with a focus on teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. CRM is increasingly practiced in healthcare settings, as up to 70% of all sentinel events have been attributed to poor communication. All courses provide participants the opportunity to interact with our high-fidelity, computerized manikins and engage in post-simulation debriefing. In each course, participants will encounter a simulated crisis event, through which they will learn how to work with their team more effectively to ensure a positive outcome.
