Edmonds (Snohomish County)
Swedish/Edmonds Emergency Department is located in Edmonds, a mile from I-5 and two blocks off of Highway 99, It’s close and convenient for northend residents in Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, Lynnwood and other surrounding neighborhoods.
Our experienced team of physicians and nurses is skilled in responding to all types of serious illnesses and injuries.
Since 2010, Swedish/Edmonds has been using the Rapid Medical Evaluation® (RME)– a streamlined approach to registering, assessing and treating emergency patients. Incoming patients first see a triage nurse to determine their needs and then move them to an exam room or bed for registration and treatment. The RME process helps reduce waiting times and speed appropriate care.
Our Edmonds ED partners with Swedish Neuroscience Institute and a comprehensive team of stroke specialists at our Swedish/Cherry Hill campus through our TeleStroke program to assess and diagnose patients via “virtual” bedside neurological evaluations, whenever necessary.
The Swedish/Edmonds ED includes:
- All diagnostic services available 24/7
- On-site lab
- Rapid Medical Evaluation® (upfront triage, in-room registration)
- two sections (main ED for serious medical cases and north ED/internal lobby for minor emergency cases)
- Convenient parking
- Discharge instructions in large print
- TTY for hearing impaired
The Swedish/Edmonds ED entrance is on the first floor of the south side of the hospital. Enter from 76th Avenue W. or 216th Street. Parking is available in the adjacent lot.
