Cherry Hill - Radiosurgery Center
The Swedish Radiosurgery Center, which is located at Swedish Medical Center’s Cherry Hill campus, offers treatment that sounds like surgery - but isn't. Although its name suggests scalpels, operating rooms and recovery time, radiosurgery involves no cutting and no hospital stay.
The center, which was formerly Seattle CyberKnife Center, is now the only medical facility in Seattle – or the Pacific Northwest – that can offer both CyberKnife® and Gamma Knife® radiosurgery technology in one location.
Two technologies – one goal
By making both of these treatment options available in the center, our experts are able to use the most appropriate radiosurgery treatment in order to provide their patients the best results. Both systems use high-dose radiation beams to target small or complex, cancerous and noncancerous tumors.
Gamma Knife is specifically used to treat cancer of the brain, and the head and neck, and may also be used to treat neurological conditions, such as arteriovenous malformations, essential tremor and trigeminal neuralgia.
