Physicians and other clinicians routinely encounter stressful professional and personal situations. Poor stress management is precipitated and perpetuated by bad habits, time constraints, cognitive load and inattention.

This course will focus on recognizing sources of stress, identifying factors and strategies that impact personal and professional resilience. Expert faculty will introduce mindfulness as an evidence-based strategy for managing stress and illustrate how to integrate nutrition and exercise into the hectic schedules of healthcare providers. Experiential opportunities to apply these self-care skills, explore your mind/body connection and define what personal well-being means to you will take place in a stress-free, compassionately guided, small group environment.
