Swedish Pituitary Symposium: Updates in Pituitary Management
Friday, April 4, 2014
Swedish Education and Conference Center
500 17th Avenue
Neuroendocrinology is a rapidly changing field, which requires ongoing education of endocrinologists, neurosurgeons and other sub-specialists who see patients with pituitary disorders and tumors. Primary-care providers, who are in a position to refer patients for treatment of pituitary disorders, need information on diagnostic and treatment options so that they can appropriately manage their care, or know when and where it is appropriate to send the patient for further evaluation and treatment. In addition to endocrinologists and neurosurgeons, primary-care providers, radiation oncologists and medical oncologists need practical information to treat patients with pituitary tumors and follow-up with patients post-treatment. From the perspectives of endocrinology, neurology, neurosurgery, radiosurgery, neuropathology, and ophthalmology, physicians, advanced practice clinicians and allied health professionals will be updated on all factors related to managing patients with pituitary tumors and disorders in order for them to provide the most informed and evidence-based care for these patients.
