Patient Ratings and Comments

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

Dr. Yu is a great doctor but many times seems rushed and reluctant to answer questions because of he is needed elsewhere

Will not see provider again.

Dr Yu is terrible communicator, but his skill is unmatched. I tried a different provider who was nicer, but his skill was no match for Dr Yu. I'll take Dr Yu's skill that provides me with some rare pain relief over a nicer doctor with less skill.

Always rushed; other patients waiting

Dr. Cong Yu is exceptional and I have sent friends to him.

There are questions/items on the intake form regarding my physical and emotional status which were never addressed. if there not relevant to my care, why are they on the intake form? Patients shouldn't be asked to fill out information that no one reads or comments about. I don't plan on answering these questions in the future.

[...] Dr Yu is a very skiled and competent doc. He's very good at what he does. He's just not a good listener or communicator. Does not really answer my questions to my satisfaction. I've had a LOT of procedures, surgeries, medications, etc. And I've had some very bad and very painful outcomes from some of those procedures. I'm not likely to try any other recommendations without sufficient info.

Dr Yu is the best plain specialist I've ever seen, and I have seen many [...]

very disappointing last 2 visits because of communication issue's. At least that is my perception, but that come's into question with this provider.

I feel like my provider does not listen to me at times and it seems like he is in a hurry. He also does not seem very sensitive to a person with chronic pain and that is the patients he works with on a daily basis.

Dr Yu is business like and a little brusque. But that did not affect his ability to talk to me about my problem, and explain possible treatments and outcomes. He gave me several options, and together we chose a conservative approach that I was very comfortable with. [...]

I am super sensitive to needle pricks and was told that " most people tolerate them". I AM NOT MOST PEOPLE. I asked for conscious sedation and was told it is not your policy. The dentist uses some sort of surface numbing solution BEFORE the needle pricks. It seems that solution should be available in these situations. I was also not told that this procedure was a test, and not the pain reducing procedure I thought I was going to get. I also have to endure another "test" before receiving the real one. This was not explained to me and the length of time to make all these appointments and get to the final pain reducing procedure is going on six weeks. This is not acceptable.

Dr Yu's bedside manner is poor, but I know from past experiences, that if you want a hand holder then maybe you need to seek one out. Me.... I want an expert willing to go the distance to help me with my back. He seemed very confident he will be able to get my insurance to cover the procedure. I liked his confidence in his abilities.

Dr. Yu is the best doctor next to the doctor at the [...] for giving the injections of Botox for migraines. I have seen 4 or 5 other doctors for this procedure and the effects were not half as good. He knows acupuncture I think and this helps immensely! The botox is applied to the areas that matter the most. Dr. Yu takes the time to observe your posture and movement difficulties so that the treatment is most effective. Thank you for hiring him.

I've seen him multiple times for the same treatment, at this point I have very minimal questions and the appointment almost becomes a quick in and out treatment (in a good way)

When asking questions, I felt rushed because he was late arriving to my appointment.
