Patient Ratings and Comments

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

there seems to be quite a focus on speed of service with Swedish providers. No, i didn't have to wait long, but i feel like the time I have with MD is so short that things get left out and I leave feeling like all of my concerns were not fully addressed

I have an extreme needle phobia. Dr. Yang was dismissive of my fears to the point of rudeness. I left the office WITHOUT getting the procedure!

Dr Yang has a positive and congenial attitude but I'm not sure he knows my name; he continually calls me "Mam." My confidence was a bit shaken when whoever answered some questions via Mychart about an upcoming procedure (success/failure rate) I was told the doctor 'didn't have that information.' When I pushed on this, I was given a 'quote from the literature.' When I asked him in person, he seemed a bit defensive. (the procedure didn't work for me). One increasingly irritating factor in seeing him is that he is always running late which he attributes to 'the scheduler.' In my last visit, he was over an hour late, though the front desk told me he would see me very quickly. This is costly in my time and parking fees for what is supposed to be a 5-minute procedure.

Dr. Young showed me the MRI and several potential sources/causes of the pain. He clearly described the treatment and potential effects. He also described future options if my treatment failed.

No problems.

He islead me to think I needed pt before I could get the facet shot. And that my weight was the big issue with him. I'm very angry with his personality and approach to get help. I will never refer anyone to the painclinic!

Dr. Yang did not take the time to speak with me. I felt like everything was rushed. I heard him reviewing my chart for 2 min. outside the door. [...]

Repeated called to get results of procedure (3) still waiting after 10 days. Says didn't record had to keep after procedure but when hadn't heard any time the first time, nurse said it was on his desk to review. Two days later said couldn't find it a & fax again. NO direct access to fax. Report of fax said it was successfully sent.

I feel well taken care of by this provider and his staff. I always get questions answered and feel I am treated like family

Treated as a "drug seeker" [...], little concern for amount of real pain and how it affects my daily life.

Treated very poorly - pushed me out the door and told me he wouldn't help me. VERY BAD experience.

Bad experience

Most excellent physician I have seen in some years.

I have told all my friends and family about my experiences with your provider and the extreme difference in care I received between my former clinic and your provider. All 300 people on my Facebook have heard how awesome Swedish is at caring for me.
