Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

My entire appointment lasted about ten minutes. I had already seen my primary care doctor for the problems I have been having with ears, and was expecting Dr. Yang to give me a more detailed examination since he is a specialist. He did not do anything that my primary doctor hadn't already done, and did not have any ideas about what could be wrong. He then recommended that I come back in for more testing, which I will have to take off more work for. I was under the impression that any testing could be done at that appointment since he is a specialist. I did not feel like it was productive at all, and I did not get any new information or ideas on how to solve my problem.
Swedish Patient

Dr Yang is great. He knows what he is doing -- I have full confidence in him for my sinus issues.
Swedish Patient

I felt the initial visit was a bit rushed.
Swedish Patient

Sometimes a more complete explanation of the problems are needed.
Swedish Patient

Gave inadequate time to answer provider's questions. Used medication with an ingredient I do not tolerate, even though listed in medical history. Upon informing provider of relevant bad habit, provider treated me with disdain. Became disinterested in issues once I expressed disinterest in surgery.
Swedish Patient

I won't go back because this provider was not aware of detailed notes sent a month earlier by my PT expressing some concern about [...].
Swedish Patient

The doctor was in hurry, did not pay attention, did not diagnose the patient properly and even after [...] did not provide a visit summary.
Swedish Patient

I'm sure *Dr. Yang is a kind person, but he was clearly irritated when I flinched, after he poked my ear. In fairness, he did warn me what he was going to do, but PAIN is PAIN, and I wasn't expecting pain.
Swedish Patient

Didn't say how long to take the antibiotic prescribed. When I called the triage nurse the next day I left a message but never received a return phone call.
