Biography & Education

Biography
In my practice I focus on promoting wellness for adults and providing care for a wide range of general outpatient medical problems. I enjoy patients who want to actively participate in their health care decisions and I want them to fully understand their health issues. I encourage lots of questions. I particularly enjoy being a doctor because I get to meet and know so many people and help some of them through difficult times.

Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

I explained to the provider that I suffer from muscle problems in my back that be very painful. I described the pain as being infrequent, but so bad that it prevented me from working and caused me nausea/sickness. I asked the provider for something that I could take infrequently when the pain gets bad. He declined, suggesting I take Motrin and drink water. Obviously I do that already and it doesn't help.

If I were ever not to recommend Dr. Watson it would be through no fault of his own but only because of the inordinate amount of time someone has to wait to speak with any one at the front desk.

Dr. Ron is the absolute best. If I have any problem at all [...] it is only that he referred me to a rheumatologist at [...] and unfortunately that doctor would not be able to see me until September! [...]

Doctor was fair to good in most situations. I feel that he wasn't more empathetic and sympathetic to my health condition. I would ask to see specialists of my choosing. He would state that he wanted me to go to his tried and true doctors. I would tell him that was uncomfortable with this. Again re-emphasizing my choice of specialists.

I came in complaining of hip pain. Dr. Watson didn't do a physical exam and did not diagnose; he wanted to get x-rays first. I told him that OTC anti-inflammatory meds were doing no good and that Tylenol has never been effective for me, but he offered no other options to relieve my pain. When I called for an appointment and was told my usual physician, Dr. [...], wasn't available, the scheduler asked if I'd like to see another doctor. I agreed, under the assumption that I could expect equivalent care. When my physician returned (after I had seen Dr. Watson) and asked for a steroid shot, she told me that Dr. Watson hadn't documented my visit well and had not offered a diagnosis, so I would need to schedule another appointment with her so she could diagnose me before administering the steroid shot. Why did the scheduler suggest I see another doctor if I would have to come back to see mine? Totally unacceptable.
