Biography
In my practice I focus on promoting wellness for adults and providing care for a wide range of general outpatient medical problems. I enjoy patients who want to actively participate in their health care decisions and I want them to fully understand their health issues. I encourage lots of questions. I particularly enjoy being a doctor because I get to meet and know so many people and help some of them through difficult times.

Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

If I were ever not to recommend Dr. Watson it would be through no fault of his own but only because of the inordinate amount of time someone has to wait to speak with any one at the front desk.

Dr. Ron is the absolute best. If I have any problem at all [...] it is only that he referred me to a rheumatologist at [...] and unfortunately that doctor would not be able to see me until September! [...]

Doctor was fair to good in most situations. I feel that he wasn't more empathetic and sympathetic to my health condition. I would ask to see specialists of my choosing. He would state that he wanted me to go to his tried and true doctors. I would tell him that was uncomfortable with this. Again re-emphasizing my choice of specialists.

I do not see how my experience could have been any better than it was!

I came in complaining of hip pain. Dr. Watson didn't do a physical exam and did not diagnose; he wanted to get x-rays first. I told him that OTC anti-inflammatory meds were doing no good and that Tylenol has never been effective for me, but he offered no other options to relieve my pain. When I called for an appointment and was told my usual physician, Dr. [...], wasn't available, the scheduler asked if I'd like to see another doctor. I agreed, under the assumption that I could expect equivalent care. When my physician returned (after I had seen Dr. Watson) and asked for a steroid shot, she told me that Dr. Watson hadn't documented my visit well and had not offered a diagnosis, so I would need to schedule another appointment with her so she could diagnose me before administering the steroid shot. Why did the scheduler suggest I see another doctor if I would have to come back to see mine? Totally unacceptable.

In the past several years, I felt that Dr. Watson was under extreme pressure to see a large number of patients each day. More often than not, he spent about seven minutes with me. The past months, my oldest daughter (I'm 87 now) accompanied me to the the doctor's office, and she followed up with questions she felt she needed to know as my health care power of attorney. Since this time, Dr. Watson has slowed down, and apparently has seen to it that he had scheduled enough time to adequately talk with me and respond to my concerns. He himself has seemed much more relaxed in doing this, and this has been good for him, for me, and for my daughter [...]

There are times when I feel that my doctor is extremely rushed and moving on to the patient. Now if I can, I make all of appointments first thing in the morning; I try and be his first patient of the day.

Dr.Watson always acts like he has all day to speak with me. He covers any additional questions I have regardless of their relevance to the issue I am seeing him for.

He was a nice guy, but literally read off a list of things to avoid so I don't die. Nothing about the visit or communication seemed specified to my lifestyle. For example, in the beginning of the exam and any paperwork I completed I said that I don't drink or smoke. And then during my time with the provider he continually mentioned that I should avoid excessive tobacco and alcohol, especially if I'm driving. [...] Again, kind man, but I am not likely to follow up with this provider for questions or care in the future.
