Philosophy of Care

I strive to provide exceptional and comprehensive treatment with a compassionate and caring approach to women stricken with gynecologic cancers. I enjoy the long-term partnerships made with my patients, and consider myself privileged to be able to help women confronted with cancer. I have also enjoyed my involvement in the Hereditary Cancer Program, identifying women at increased risk for cancer and educating them about risk reduction strategies. This has been a large part of my practice over the past 11 years. In addition, my partners and I were the first in the area to perform robotic assisted minimally invasive gynecologic cancer procedures, a treatment that speeds recovery and allow women to complete cancer treatments more quickly and with fewer side effects.

Personal Interests

I met my husband, Jon Paley, who is also a physician in the area, while in training at Duke University. We have two children, to whom we devote much of our time. We enjoy a busy and active life, and spend much of our free time boating, traveling and skiing in British Columbia.
