Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

My husband and I were both very confident about Dr. Pollack's knowledge and his empathy, and he did his best to communicate the situation very clearly to us and answer all our questions to our satisfaction. However […], he seems to have a little difficulty with the speed of his speech. […], we were prepared for this and it didn't impact our visit, but I would unfortunately feel some hesitation in recommending him to a friend or family member because I think if […] we had not both been ready to listen very attentively and feel confident in asking clarifying questions when needed, or even if we were not both relatively well-educated and used to complex terminology, we might have had difficulty his speech patterns, or even felt stressed by them. We both got the sense that he was a great doctor with an otherwise fantastic manner, […]

Dr Pollack speaks extremely quickly and mumbles a bit. He is very conscientious and I trust his medical judgment, but communication could be strengthened by just slowing down a bit.
Swedish Patient

He was running a little big deal. Entered the room and dove right into things, speaking a little too fast. He needs to take the time to slow down a bit and create a more calming, relaxed environment. [...]
Swedish Patient

I experienced considerable upper abdominal bloating after the medical procedures which lasted 2 days. I was not informed this may occur and researched online to find the information on post-procedure side effect.
Swedish Patient

He was great! And found out that a medication I have been taking for YEARS put me at increased risk of stroke because I have [...]. My previous OBGYN and NP both missed this [...].
Swedish Patient

Dr Pollack is one of the best doctors I have routinely seen. He is friendly, very knowledgeable, and will explain things throughly. I highly recommend him.
Swedish Patient

Explained several concerns right when we met & he asked how things were going. He stated I was lucky for having such an easy pregnancy. He clearly hadn't read my chart [...]. Will never go to this dr. again.
Swedish Patient

Always a great experience, thank you for taking such good care of me
Swedish Patient

My partner and I both really liked Dr Pollock and look forward to having him as our provider moving forward
Swedish Patient

Seems like he has pressured speech. Talked a lot but didn't listen much. Makes me feel anxious.
Swedish Patient

I did not feel the doctor completed a thorough annual exam and I left feeling dissatisfied with a negative experience.
Swedish Patient

I am sure that Dr. Pollack is very skilled and a good doctor. He spoke so fast, though, and nervously, that my mind was racing to understand him so I could not digest or think about what he was saying. At this visit he gave me a lot of information, which it seemed he was reading off a script. The information was very important but we did not have a back-and-forth conversation about it because I was just barely keeping up, he seemed to be moving very quickly, and he didn't prompt me to ask meaningful questions.
Swedish Patient

This was an overall frustrating visit. It was my first time with Swedish, and my first time with this Doctor. I scheduled a pap smear as I had not gotten one in a little over a year and my husband and I are in the process of trying to get pregnant. The doctor decided that I did not need a pap smear and only gave me minimal education on the timing of when I could possibly conceive. I felt the entire appointment was a waste of time since I was never given the pap smear and no other kind of check up.
Swedish Patient

He was very knowledgeable but spoke very softly and very quickly - hard to understand.
Swedish Patient

Doctor Pollock is the best. I have been seeing him in the office for almost 5 years as part of a surgical follow-up. His technical and communication skills are excellent.
