Biography & Education

The most important thing I can do as a doctor is listen carefully to my patients. Only then can we begin to work together as a team to address their concerns and improve their health and well-being. As a family doctor I especially enjoy caring for people within the context of their families and their community. When people are sick, compassion and caring are as important as medicines and procedures. When people are ready to make lifestyle changes, I see myself as a health coach, offering methods and counseling to achieve those goals.

Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

Dr. Okorn is our family physician and has seen us through two pregnancies and births with her excellent care. She is a fantastic care provider - completely knowledgeable, warm and caring and readily accessible for office appointments or by mychart during off hours. I highly recommend Dr. Okorn!

I love Dr. Okorn, but [...] it's impossible to get an appointment sometimes. [...]

I would only not recommend my doctor because scheduling is painfully difficult with lack of availability.

[...] Dr Okorn has all the aspects of a medical care provided I appreciate. she evaluated my symptons with an Anyletical and thourough approach. Diagnossis was spot on, and i like her as a person.

Dr okorn is awesome! When she learned that my son had been to the ER the previous weekend, she shifted her schedule around so that we could have enough time to discuss the reason for the ER trip in addition to the well child exam.

I am very pleased with Dr. Okorn's treatment and help. She listens to me and any questions I may have.

The visit seemed to be very efficient and quick, however any questions that I had were answered sufficiently. I'm happy to know that my lab results were as expected and current health issues are being managed.

The doctor appropriately sent me to have an ultrasound. However, once the ultrasound results came back I was simply told by a nurse that I have a [...] and I should see a surgeon. I received no call from the doctor explaining the ultrasound results, even though I left a message stating I was very concerned after reading my chart that I had what sounded like a [...]. I never received a call from either Dr. [...] or Dr. Okorn explaining the results, or answering my concerns. I do not think you should post ultrasound results on My Chart without providing patients with an opportunity to get an explanation of the terms. I intend to find a new doctor.

I value the relationship I have with my provider. She understands me, my health, and instills trust in me for the care that I receive.

Dr. Okorn is great! I have been seeing her for 10+ years, she delivered my son and he sees her too. Always kind and helpful. Takes time to answer questions.

I would recommend Dr. Okorn strongly to anyone. The clinic, however, is not one that I would recommend. That's a shame.

I'm very grateful for all that dr Okorn does for me. I am a bit of a mess right now but she always encouragies me, educating me, and providing excellent care. She is helping me help myself. Dr Okorn also delivered my grandkids and takes great care of them and my daughter. Thanks to her, I have confidence that I can manage my health. She listens and explains everything means. She hooked me up with diabetes classes and education on self-management. I could go on.. oh wait... I already have. Thank you Swedish!!! Thank you Dr Okorn for taking care of me and my family all these years!!!

I'm extremely pleased with swedish

Dr. Okorn is fantastic, I adore her and recommended her to my sister who now goes to her too.

We so appreciate and adore Dr Okorn...she was so compassionate and supportive with us as she shared some devastating news with us [...]...we couldn't ask for a more amazing doctor...

Dr. Okorn is a fantastic health care partner with me. She empowers me to live good health habits and attends to issues always in upbeat, positive way. I appreciate her.
