April 25, 2013
Mothers’ Day is Sunday, May 12th, and it is an annual reminder of the incredible role that mothers and maternal figures play in our lives. Oftentimes, however, moms’ health takes a backseat to their loved ones’. But who benefits when the caregiver is not in the best shape to care for their loved ones? For mothers (and all caregivers), it is important to remember to take care of yourself all year. Here are some quick tips for moms and other caregivers to keep themselves in the best shape possible:

How to deal with minor breakouts or major acne

Most of us experience acne at some point in our lives. It is most common in adolescents and young adults, but various forms can affect people well into adulthood. Knowing what you can treat with over the counter products and when to see a physician is the first step to improving acne. The most common form of acne is comedonal acne and is characterized by whiteheads and blackheads. The next most common is inflammatory acne where deeper, pinker bumps appear on the skin. Milder cases of both comedonal and inflammatory acne can often times respond to over the counter (OTC) treatment with salicylic acid cleansers and topical benzoyl peroxide products. If you try OTC treatment for 6-8 weeks and see good benefit, you can avoid a trip to the doctor and keep using the OTC products. Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

I like Dr. Meyer or I wouldn't go back. He runs a tight ship and I feel very confident in his expertise and I have recommended him to others
Swedish Patient

I was very comfortable with Dr. Meyer from the start, he was thorough in his explanation of what was going on, was very concerned about my comfort during the procedure, talked with me throughout the procedure explaining what he was doing and making sure that I was not experiencing any pain.
Swedish Patient

Dr. Meyer was wonderful - very professional, efficient, knowledgeable, & friendly. I've already recommended him to a friend.
Swedish Patient

Overall, fully satisfied with the experience; however, in general I felt the provider was intentionally or otherwise feeling somewhat rushed. [...] She seems to move the appointment along quite well while still leaving me feeling I was well heard and the quanity and quality of the care provided was comprehensive and well comprehended.
Swedish Patient

My old dermatologist always checked by entire head - he did not.
Swedish Patient

Dr. Myer was thorough and courteous. Responded to my email ASAP.
Swedish Patient

The provider made it seem as if there were no after care/effects needed from my treatment. When scabbing occurred and the thing I originally went in for was still there, I called the nurse back, and the doctor said it was normal. But the provider did not mention that in our visit at all, nor did he mention any after care during my visit.
