Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

I have recommended Dr. McFarland on multiple occasions.

I trust Dr. McFarland.

Great provider that knows how to spend time with people he is the reason why I drive as far as I do to see such a great doctor. In a world of healthcare that focuses on getting people in and out quickly Dr McFarland takes the time to provide caring medical attention. He is great!

Dr. McFarland was determined to help me out and he spent as much time as was needed to do so. I really appreciated that because I did not want to leave without complete resolution of my medical need.

I always receive excellent care with Dr. McFarland. He patiently listens to and understands my concerns. He is always up on recent studies and research. I have complete confidence in Dr. McFarland

I've been going to the same location for over 20 years yeah there's a good reason

My Doctor and his Assistants are excellent, both [...] and [...].

Dr McFarland is a superb individual as he is an excellent physician and his nurse(s) fit this same descripsion

Dr. McFarland has always been a good friend as well as my physician

was not concerned about persistent cough; did not have accurate records and recommendations from Dr. [...] re: need for colonoscopy in 5 years. Had to return a 2nd time to have Dr. complete the annual exam. Minimized the need for more frequent cholesterol, triglyceride, and prostate tests. Basically I felt the annual exam was a "once over lightly" experience. I am thinking he has to see too many patients per hour as dictated by Swedish...just an observation as he has been more thorough in the past.

When asked if I'd last had a tetanus shot, I said that it should be in my chart, because I remembered looking it up and providing the information to the clinic in the past. Dr said that I needed a TDAP shot, but I don't think that he saw my previous one in my chart, because when I got home and checked, I'd had a TDAP shot 6 years before, and reading the information I was provided, I don't believe that I should have had a second one. Happily there were no ill effects, but I feel like he could have said that he didn't see it, and I'd have tried to remember or gone home and checked.

I have pain constantly/don't sleep well due to bad hip. Not overwhelmed by resolution scheme.

we love Dr McFarland! He has been a great doctor to us since we moved here to the USA. He tries to learn some words in Spanish and that means a lot to us

primary care provider seemed rushed, over-scheduled on this day,

I feel that Dr. MacFarland takes very good care of me and I feel fortunate to have him as my primary health care provider.

Excellent experience every time I visit Swedish Factoria.

My wife was with me. She was concerned about my condition and being near my step-son. He just had [...] surgery [...]. Doctor was both clear on what or what not to be concerned about. But also show his concern about our son's situation. Again, a good doctor.

Dr. David McFarland is my doctor and has my complete faith and respect. He has ultimately saved my life and my sons life over the years of seeing him. I highly recommend him and hold him in the highest regard. When I need help he is the one I ask for and want to see. When he leaves I will most likely find a new clinic as He is difficult for me to get their I travel close to 20 miles to see him passing by 2 major hospitals and clinics to see my doctor.

dr McFarland has been our family Dr for almost 25 years. he is always pleasant and always takes the time necessary with me.

I have been going to Swedish Primary Care in Factoria for a number of years now and was seeing Dr. [...]. I was in a car accident and could not get an appt with Dr. [...] and was seen by Dr. MacFarland. I was so impressed with his bedside manner--very respectful, knowledgeable and not judgmental at all with the health care decisions I have made in the past. Instead of "lecturing" me, he educated me in a calm manner and was very encouraging about taking medications for [...]. He researched medications that won't interfere with breastfeeding which I was still doing at that time. I asked him right away if he could be my PCP. It's one of the best decisions I have made regarding my primary care. I am so happy he agreed to take me as a patient.

David always spends time going over my file and explaining things thoroughly

he is now the Dr. of my grandson....3rd generation....
