Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

I don't like having to visit every 3 months for ongoing medical issues, especially when there isn't a change.

It may just be the pressures on cost, but I sense that the doctors are only allotted a certain amount of time with each patient (and it isn't very much). I feel like I am always being "rushed" with the doctor because she has to move on to another patient. I want to be able to ask the doctor questions without people knocking on the door to let her know her time is up.

I feel that the physician is focused on typing up notes on the computer instead of completely engaging with me. It would be preferable to have her full attention instead of her facing the computer and typing up notes.

I have been visiting my doctor for several years. She has been very responsive to my health needs and concerns, and has worked with me so that I better understand my health issues and how to improve my health. She offers a variety of ideas to help me follow her medical recommendations; this allows me to choose diet & activity goals that work for me. She helps me move through the process of incorporating these changes into my routine. She encourages me along the way and cheers my successes. [...] I feel that having Dr. Liu's guidance and support allows me to have the best opportunity for excellent health now and for many years into the future. I think she is great.

I have seen this provider 6 years ago, I thought then that she was cold, I avoided going back to her. This time she was very nice and worm.

I was told I needed to change my diet to address my high cholesterol. [...] When I asked for more information about how I was to change my diet to manage cholesterol, the doctor only told me to eat less sugar and fatty foods. I asked for a brochure or a website where I could learn more about high cholesterol and appropriate foods/diets, but the doctor was unable to provide me with either and seemed surprised by the question. I felt this was a significant breakdown in the care I received, and very unlike my past experiences [...]. How can someone be asked to significantly change their diet to address a health risk without proper detail or instructions on how to do so?

There is a reason I go out of my way to keep coming back to Dr. Liu. She has my complete trust and confidence, and always explains every condition or recommendation fully.
