Philosophy of Care

I see myself as part of a team working with a child's primary care physician and parents. Visual development is occurring in children up to age 7-9 and it is important to identify and treat any conditions that could interfere with this and cause permanent visual loss. My goal is to do this in a way that is non-threatening to the child and family. My hope is that when a child leaves my office, they will want to come back and that the parents will leave with a better understanding of their child's eyes and vision.

Personal Interests

I grew up in the Northwest and enjoy the natural beauty and outdoor activities we have here. I am fortunate to live near my family and especially by three beautiful nieces. I also love to travel and have been able to do a couple of medical mission trips to the Philippines and Kenya. I hope to do more of this throughout my years of practice.
