Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

dr. ken is the best doctor. he always includes my kids in the discussions. they like going to see him.

Dr. Kumasaka has always spent the time to understand our concerns and my son loves him. Dr. Kumasaka has always been engaging with my son and that creates a comfort that is so necessary for sick little kids. Dr. Kumasaka is by far the best pediatrician we could have asked for.
Swedish Patient

We have always had excellent care from Dr. Kumasaka, typically just annual check-ups. This time my son saw him for a specific condition, and we were both surprised and bothered by how impersonal it felt as he was entering things into the computer. My son explained what had happened, and the doctor took dictation, rarely looking up or making eye contact. We really like Dr. Kumasaka and are confident in the care he gives as well as his typically warm and engaging personality, but this was a notable difference. Computers - a blessing and a curse.

*Dr. Kumasaka was leaving for vacation the following day, but called me from home. I was very grateful.
