About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

I am a retired Internist, which probably makes communication go smoother. We are getting to know each other better since he took over my care 1-2 years ago.

The provider is very good and knowledgeable about traditional medicine; however, I felt that he was not as aware about alternative medicine. I have also been seeing a natrupath on a regular basis to supplement.

One of the first doctors I've seen in a long time that didn't seem to have something else to do, other than pay attention to me. super!

I was actually pleasantly surprised at the amount of time Dr. Janssen spent with me! Being a new patient and only wanting a refill for a prescription, I wasn't expecting much. He talked with me for about 1/2 an hour, which is much longer than any other physician I've seen has done.

As for Dr. Janssen, he was very dismissive of my symptoms and through extensive email communication, he has failed to actually answer any of my simple questions regarding my test results. Throughout both of my visits, he seemed apathetic, bored and uninterested in my case. There were SEVERAL errors in my chart when I reviewed it on MyChart. Dr. Janssen's bedside manner is the absolute worst I have ever seen; and I have seen a lot of doctors, having worked in healthcare for many years. He refuses to explain anything so that its understandable to the layman (luckily, I am familiar with medical terminology) and I left both appointments in tears and feeling de-validated, as he brushed off my swollen joints as "anxiety and hot flashes." I will be seeking a new doctor. On a side note, he became noticeably frustrated when I could not remember the name of a prescription he prescribed me. He was clearly irritated he had to look it up in the computer. Also, the RX he prescribed for a rash didn't work. When I asked him what we should do next, he shrugged, rolled his eyes and begrudgingly gave me a referral to a dermatologist.

I have a complicated problem, that takes some out of the box thinking. He only thinks in very limited bands, and is going over territory I have already covered. I don't feel he will be one of the key players to get me a few steps better.
