Patient Ratings and Comments

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

[...] I was really impressed with my recent visit. I thought he was was very approachable, kind, and discussed an option that night better suit me in regards to prescription dosing that I found very helpful. I have always preferred to have a female provider and will continue to see Dr. [...] almost exclusively but now have a new appreciation seeing Dr. Irrizary for certain appointments when not given my first option.

He made me feel very comfortable and I felt like he really listened to my problem and took it seriously. I really appreciated that he respected my thoughts about the issue and included me in deciding how to proceed.

it was the first time this provider, who just recently took over my care from another physician, had been aware of my long history of taking anti-depressants; I explained my history more than he could have been aware of the details

My daughter was very nervous because of the pain and there were shots involved. The Dr. was extremely patient and kind and caring which was greatly appreciated.

Dr. Irazarri is absolutely fantastic, best Doc I have had. He always listens and takes time with me, great bedside manor. Can't say enough about how much I appreciate him as my families primary care physician.

He was a very nice man and showed real concern for the questions I was asking. It was a breath of fresh air compared to most doctors!

Saw him for follow up care after hospitalization of my toddler. Did not mention changing dosage of medication or treatment plan but was merely typed on the discharge paper given by nurse.

When I shared that my mother had irregular breast examines and that she asked me to start mammograms early, Dr. Irrizary said that he'll make the recommendations about when they need to start. It wasn't in a snarky way, but since my mother didn't / doesn't have breast cancer, he didn't appear to think this request was valid. I would appreciate a more preventative approach to care in the future. [...]

By far the worst experience with a health care professional.

I had been Dr. Irizarry's patient years ago on a previous insurance plan. I turned to him in my current situation.

In my two visits with Irizarry, he has been extremely condescending. He needs to treat his patients with proper respect.

Literally saw the doctor for 10-15 minutes for my yearly physical. I had a question about getting [...] medicine and was told that I would have to book another appointment to talk about that. That is a routine medicine to prescribe and I feel that the yearly physical is the appropriate time to talk about it. [...]
