About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

I switched to Dr Isles-Shih pretty much by accident as my previous provider [...] was caught up performing some emergency procedure on the day of my scheduled procedure. And I am so glad I did switch. The previous provider had not alerted me to the abnormalities found in my diagnostic procedure results, and not suggested any remedies to fix them. He had been refilling my medicines and I thought all was well. He did not tell me about other commonly used medicines that would have similar disease management benefits but with an easier regiment for compliance compared to me previous medication. Dr Isles-Shih followed up personally after the diagnostic procedure results and even though the abnormalities were no worse than what the previous provider had found, she suggested remedies to fix them. While I had not noticed any symptoms from my condition, she asked more detailed questions to extract out potential symptoms I may might have been mis-interpreting as unrelated and her strategy did catch missed symptoms. She also suggested improved medication along with the associated risks of switching to new medication. She was also very open to answering my questions and gave clear, detailed follow-up instructions that she also typed out for making sure I got it right. While I am not a doctor and so cannot say this decisively, I do feel Dr Isles-Shih's knowledge in the field, intelligence, and thoroughness is superior to other doctors I have seen [...]
