Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

She seemed a little uptight and didn't connect with us when my husband was joking or 'making light' of things.

Sharon Hammond has been nothing but amazing! Her ability to understand and connect with the emotional side and medical side of my well being is above and beyond expectations.

I was not expecting to see a midwife for my first OB visit. I understood that my OB would not be seeing me, but I expected a Nurse Practioner or Physicians Assisistant. [...] She didn't present options and then let me choose, instead I felt that she pushed her views on me the entire visit [...]. It was not a good experience & I hope that in the future she will not push her views of natural medicine on OB patients that don't want that approach. Women should not be judged, shamed or bullied into a birth plan. I am hopeful that my experience with Dr. [...] will be better.

Sharon was knowledgeable and for the most part nice. She seamed a little annoyed or judgemental about a couple questions we asked and it almost felt as though she expected us to know how the appointment was supposed go. Overall not a bad experience, it may have simply been a difference in personalities.

Very personable. Made me feel comfortable.

It was my first visit at Swedish, I was very pleased with their overall service from the beginning to end. The front end staff were friendly and helpful & my appointment with Sharon Hammond was wonderful. I was comfortable throughout my whole appointment and I was very satisfied with my appointment.

The wait time was more and we went through a very hurried experience on this visit with this provider. Also we did an ultrasound but we neither measured the foetus nor got a printout of the ultrasound. We just got to hear the heartbeat. We were expecting a better level of service from the provider and Swedish.

in person clinic and provider was great; however, for a obgyn clinic to not return phone calls is unacceptable.

I felt she was in a hurry and thus didn't want to answer my questions thoroughly. [...] It was very disappointing and felt as if she hadn't cared about my worries. She certainly didn't earn my confidence. [...] It was my first visit at Issaquah Swedish and everything, from making an appointment, to then cancelling, rescheduling and attending it, was disappointing

After my visit, I did not feel that my condition was well explained, and after a follow-up phone call with a nurse in the office the next day, the situation was less clear. I felt like the provider was too concerned about my feelings and did not tell me the whole truth of the situation, because she didn't think I could handle it or something.

I think the people I met were great, but the fact I have not been able to meet or spend any time with my doctor until I am 1/2 way through my pregnancy is very poor.
