Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

We absolutely love and trust Dr. E with our family health care. She's the best and we're so grateful to see her.

I loved Dr. Emmanuel. I came in about fertility concerns and was worried I would be made to feel silly or overly worrisome. The Dr. and her nurse both made me feel so comfortable and re-assured me that I was doing everything right. I was so scared about feeling dismissed but it was the opposite experience. It was very affirming and encouraging.

I have complete confidence in Dr Emanuel. I know she has busy days, but when she is in the exam room, she is 100% focused on me. She is open to trying natural or complementary therapies and is always up on new research. She remembers what is going on with my health as well as in my personal life. I have recommended her to numerous friends and I trust her completely. So glad to have such a wonderful doctor. [...] I feel completely confident in my choice of Dr Emanuel!

I wish that I knew what all is supposed to be included in a routine physical so I would know if everything were as thorough as it should be, because I just honestly don't know! :) Dr. Emmanuel is wonderful and it's not her, I just maybe need a little more talk through. Would be helpful to have recommendations for dermatologist/eye care/dental/mental health/specialty care options as well. "Are there any new health concerns you need to bring to my attention?" would be a great question to ask!

Dr Emanuel is an amazing doctor, she gets people and is real with them. She makes me feel comfortable even when I think I'm asking a stupid questions, she takes time to explain things in such a way that I can understand them.

I didn't deeply mind the student who attended this appointment (she was perfectly nice and unobtrusive) but I generally prefer NOT to have students attend my appointments. This is specifically why I stopped going to a teaching clinic and started coming to Swedish instead. I dislike that I'm never forewarned when I make the appointment and that I feel like I can't say no when I'm asked on the spot on the day of the appointment if it's OK for a student to observe. I feel like I would be causing problems to say no, when in fact that is my preferred answer every time. I feel that I am able to establish better rapport with my physician and get better care and be more candid in my questions/discussions when I am one on one with my physician, which is what I expect whenever I book an appointment directly with her. I would take different (later) appointment times if it meant I could avoid having a student present, but I am never presented with that as an option.
