About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

I have never felt such confidence in or respect for a provider. She is truly extraordinary. She is obviously competent but is supportive and informative and respectful. It's refreshing to experience that as a patient in a health care environment.

Dr. Deans is a very competent doctor who inspires confidence from her patients. However, I don't understand why most doctors nowadays do not check anything below the waist if a pelvic exam is not required. [...] Maybe my expectations are outdated and need to be revised.

Amy Dean recognized my strong medical background and adjusted her explanations to fit my level of understanding and yet still was thorough in her explanations. There was no chance of me leaving that office without complete understanding.

Dr. Deans spent an appropriate amount of time with me; she did not seem rushed. She explained risks/benefits of prescriptions to treat my problem. Based on her professionalism, communication style, commitment to the hospital, amount of time in practice and personality, I'd highly recommend Dr. Deans.

I am mostly very satisfied with Dr. Deans. I had one concern about her missing a diagnosis because she wasn't familiar with a CAT scan I had taken 3 years earlier. She listened to my concerns very respectfully. she explained what had happened and also admitted to some responsibility on her part. I left the conversation very satisfied and confident that she will provide me the best care. Also, she always answers the questions I send her via My Chart in a very timely manner.

After cycling through a few primary care physicians that were not very good (including one really obnoxious one at this same Swedish clinic!), it stands out to me just how good Dr. Deans is at her job. I really appreciate her and feel extremely fortunate to have her as my doctor.

I came in for pain in my arm. The initial appt. was good. The doctor appeared to listen to me and assured me we would figure out what was wrong. Doctor ordered blood tests and x-rays. Results were sent to me via web portal with no personal interaction. Because test results showed nothing I was told via the web portal to see my psychiatrist. After the initial visit there was no follow-up, no explanation of test results, no other possibility was explored and it felt like my previous mental health history was assumed to be the problem. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a doctor. I felt dismissed. Incredibly disrespectful.
