About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

I went back to Dr Carlson after bad experiences with other GI doctors. He is very respectful compared to the other two I had, and much easier to get a hold of. He is down to earth and much easier to trust compared to the others. This is why I went back to him. I have a general mistrust of physicians because I often feel they are talking down to me or trying to manipulate me. I have never felt this way with Dr Carlson. He is straightforward, humble and respectful.

Again - while the care and care provider was good the support and ability to communicate/schedule was so terrible that I would not refer people [...]. To schedule a follow up appointment/test required three emails - via mychart - two phone calls with messages and finally I received the first contact response.
