About Dr. Arnold:
Prior to joining Swedish, Dr. Arnold was Director of the Electrodiagnostic Clinic and lead physiatrist at Regional West Physicians Clinic, Rehabilitation Medicine in Nebraska for ten years. She served as the Vice President of Medicine for Regional West Physicians Clinic, and as Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO) for Regional West Health Services. Dr. Arnold continues to serve at a national level as a member of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) Quality Committee, and previously served as the Nebraska State Liaison to the AANEM. She extended her avocational volunteer service for local communities as well as at international community service organizations.
Dr. Arnold is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Sports Medicine, Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, and Neuromuscular Medicine. Dr. Arnold is highly skilled in the performance of electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS). She is adept in the diagnosis and treatment of neuropathy and myopathy including: peripheral neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, radiculopathy (sciatica), scapular winging, plexopathy, foot drop, ulnar neuropathy, meralgia paresthetica, diabetic amyotrophy, facial neuropathy/Bell's palsy, Guillain-Barr� syndrome and other various peripheral nerve injuries/disorders, as well as inflammatory, toxin and drug-induced myopathies and neuropathies.
Her practice also includes management of acute and subacute neuropathic pain, nonsurgical musculoskeletal care and Sports Medicine and serves as an ImPACT consultant for sports concussion management. She is experienced at diagnosis and management of acute and subacute myofascial conditions including trigger point injections, and performs in-office therapeutic/diagnostic nerve blocks using musculoskeletal ultrasound, EMG, and neurostimulator for injection guidance.
Dr. Arnold also enjoys serving in a primary care role for patients with spinal cord injury, including traumatic quadriplegia and paraplegia, as well as non-traumatic myelopathy due to degenerative disc disease or cancer. Dr. Arnold is experienced at managing the many medical and rehabilitation issues that accompany chronic spinal cord injuries.
