  • Chief Operating Officer
    David R. West, RPh, graduated from the University of Washington in 1979. He was Vice President of Pharmacy Operations for Swedish Health Services from 2011-2015. He was the System Director of Pharmacy from 1997 to 2012, overseeing all five campuses as part of the pharmacy management team. He has been at Swedish since 1976. He is an active member in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Washington State Pharmacist Association. David was instrumental in approving the initiation of the residency program. dave.west@swedish.org
  • Director, System-wide Clinical Pharmacy 
    Eric Harvey, PharmD, MBA
    graduated from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in 1988. He then completed an ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy practice at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. He has been an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists since 1981. Eric has been precepting students and residents since 1990, has 4 years experience as a PGY-1 Program Coordinator, and 10 years experience as a Residency Program Director. He has been Affiliate Associate Professor at the UW School of Pharmacy since 1995 and is and active Instructor and Lecturer. He has extensive expertise in the areas of evidence-based medicine, quality improvement methodologies, and pharmacy practice management. eric.harvey@swedish.org
  • Residency Program Director
    Roger S. Yamaguchi, PharmD, graduated from the University of California, San Francisco in 1986. He completed a PGY1 residency at Franciscan Health System – St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, WA. He has been at Swedish since 1990, and currently is an Oncology pharmacist on the First Hill campus. He has been an active member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at numerous schools of pharmacy across the nation. He was the lead Oncology preceptor since the program’s inception between 2003-2010 and Residency Program Director since 2010.   • Residency Program Coordinator
    Kristine D. Eng, RPh, graduated from the University of Washington in 1993. She completed a PGY1 residency at Valley Medical Center. She has been at Swedish since 1999 and currently works as a Critical Care Clinician on the First Hill campus. She is an active member in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She has been a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UW School of Pharmacy since 2000. With former Residency Program Director, Paul Anderson, Kris co-created the PGY1 residency program at Swedish. She has been the Residency Program Coordinator since its inception in 2003. Kris is the "Making Values a Priority" (MVP) award recipient in 2009 in recognition for her work in the pharmacy residency program. kristine.eng@swedish.org
