Fellowship Application and Timeline

We are currently accepting applications for the geriatric fellowship.

The Advanced Training in Geriatrics fellowship program at Swedish is open only to physicians who are board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Applicants must have completed a 3-year ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency or Internal Medicine Residency, and obtain an unrestricted Washington State medical license and DEA number by the beginning of the fellowship.

Beginning with the class of 2014-15, application for the geriatrics fellowship will be completed through the National Residency Matching Program (NMRP), and application materials will be collected through ERAS.  For more information, please visit the following websites:

Our requirements for application include:
1) Curriculum Vitae
2) Letter of support from your residency program director
3) Two letters of reference
4) Personal Statement
5) Copy of medical school diploma


Applications and Interviews will occur as follows:
September 10, 2014:      Geriatric Medicine fellowship match opens
November 1, 2014:       Deadline for application submission
October and November, 2014:       Fellowship Interviews
December 17, 2014:     Submission of Match lists
