Short Description
To evaluate if continuous noninvasive monitoring of the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood (hemoglobin) will reduce red blood cell (RBC) transfusions in patients undergoing surgeries associated with a significant risk of bleeding, and to evaluate if patients who have continuous noninvasive hemoglobin monitoring experience less frequent complications and shorter hospital stay compared with patients who do not have continuous noninvasive hemoglobin monitoring.
