Swedish News

SEATTLE, Nov. 1, 2010 – Since the former Ballard Community Hospital’s merger with Swedish Medical Center in 1992, local residents knew they could count on the hospital for quality care close to home. Now they can expect even more.

On Tuesday, Nov. 9, Swedish Ballard opens a new 90,000 square-foot medical office building (MOB), located at 5350 Tallman Ave. N.W. near Market Street. It houses a greatly expanded emergency department, a larger medical imaging center, new outpatient services, a primary-care clinic and office space for a wide range of specialty physicians. It is connected to the hospital via a new sky bridge.
