Swedish's mission is to improve the health and well-being of each person we serve. A crucial part of fulfilling this mission is Swedish's charity care program. In 2012, Swedish provided more than $35 million in direct charity care alone.
Swedish's charity care program:
Offers free or discounted hospital services for those who cannot afford care, many of whom are underinsured or have no insurance at all
Provides financial assistance in cases where annual family income is between zero and 400 percent of the federal poverty level
Ensures that financial constraints are not a barrier to the provision of care
As a nonprofit organization, Swedish relies heavily on community partnerships and the support of those who believe in our nonprofit mission of providing the very best care to every person we serve — regardless of their ability to pay.
