Lorna Kneeland

Interim Chief Development Officer and President, Foundation


Lorna Kneeland serves as the Interim Chief Development Officer and President of the Swedish Foundation. She was appointed to this position in August 2014. 

Kneeland was recently a member of the Board of Governors for Swedish Medical Center Foundation. Since 2009, she has served in various leadership fundraising roles that include co-chair for the Neonatal ICU Expansion Advisory Council, co-chair for the RN Nurses Residency Program, member of the True Family Women’s Cancer Center Advisory Council, Swedish Cancer Institute’s Development Council, Celebrate Swedish Committee, and Destination Swedish Committee.  

Kneeland was most recently the executive director for Patrons of Northwest Civic, Cultural and Charitable Organizations (PONCHO). In 2006 she joined Swedish, overseeing all fundraising activities for the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research. Prior to joining the non-profit world, Kneeland spent more than 12 years in the hospitality industry where she held sales, marketing, and management roles at Starwood Hotels, Kimpton Group Hotels, and Wild Ginger.  

Kneeland is an active community volunteer; she is involved in organizations focused in the arts, healthcare, youth development and humanitarian relief. She is frequently called upon to consult with non-profit organizations undertaking special projects and organizational change.
