ORCA Passport: Your Pass for Riding Regional Transit

Swedish’s Passport program provides a discounted transit pass for all caregivers (employees). The pass is valid on all routes and trains operated by Community Transit, King County Metro Transit, Everett Transit, Pierce Transit, and Sound Transit (including the Sounder Train, Street Cars, and Water Taxi).

To sign up for an ORCA card, complete this form 

and submit it to the Parking and Commuting Office.

Here are the buses that travel directly to the Issaquah campus:

King County Metro Routes: 200, 216, 218, 269, 628

Sound Transit Routes: 554, 555, 556

Vanpool & Vanshare: Share the Ride and We Do the Rest

A vanpool is a group of people that ride together from their homes to work while a vanshare is a group of people that connect the first or final segment of their commute to transit (train station, ferry dock, etc..). Caregivers can use their ORCA card to pay for a portion of their monthly vanpool/vanshare fares that cover the vehicle’s gas, insurance, and maintenance. 

Guaranteed Ride Home: Transportation in Case of an Emergency

Caregivers who do not drive alone to work have the added benefit of knowing that they have up to eight FREE rides home per year (June-May) that they can use in case of an emergency.

To request a guaranteed ride home call the Parking and Commuting office a 206-386-2235 or ext. 62235 between the hours of 7:30 am - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday (not open on Swedish approved holidays) or the Swedish Call Center (Dial 0 when on campus) when the office is closed.

Parking

Monthly parking permits for day shift is available for caregivers with a hire date of July, 1990 or prior OR Managers and above (excluding carpools and vanpools/vanshares). There are no restrictions for monthly vanpool, vanshare, carpool, evening, or night parking permits. Daily parking is available and is posted at the entrance of the Met Park East Garage.
