SEATTLE, June 6, 2012 – Swedish’s Cherry Hill and First Hill campuses today were honored with an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Score by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. The Hospital Safety Score was calculated under the guidance of The Leapfrog Group’s Blue Ribbon Expert Panel using publicly available data on patient injuries, medical and medication errors, and infections. Hospitals throughout the United States were assigned an A, B, C, D or F for their safety.

Swedish, Seattle Anesthesia Outreach Team Up to Help Deliver Needed Medical Equipment to Hospital in Ethiopia
SEATTLE, Dec. 17, 2010 -- Seattle Anesthesia Outreach (SAO), a Seattle charity co-founded by Swedish-affiliated anesthesiologists Drs. Richard Solazzi and Mark Cullen, recently joined with the Boeing Humanitarian Delivery Flights program and Ethiopian Airlines to deliver much needed anesthesia equipment to Black Lion Hospital – Ethiopia’s largest hospital. The delivery took place Dec. 16 with the majority of medical supplies donated by Swedish.
