SEATTLE, Sept. 24, 2008 -- While most medical practices have answering services and more are offering access to doctors via e-mail, physicians who gladly hand out their personal cell phone numbers to patients are still relatively rare.
The Seattle Post-Intelligencer (P-I) took a closer look at this topic by speaking with one such physician as well as with one of his patients and the daughter of another patient. The physician is Greg Foltz, M.D., a neurosurgeon with the Swedish Neuroscience Institute (SNI) and director of SNI's new Center for Advanced Brain Tumor Treatment.
