Washington Women Have Highest Risk of Breast Cancer

SEATTLE, Nov. 12, 2004 -- KOMO Television (channel 4;ABC) aired a story Nov.11 titled "Washington Women Have Highest Risk of Breast Cancer" that Swedish Cancer Institute Breast-Care Program Director David Beatty, M.D., and one of his breast-cancer patients were interviewed for.

The story looked at why Washington women are at a higher risk of getting breast cancer than in any other state in the country but also why they are more likely to survive.
