Last night, Olympic Medical Center and Jefferson Healthcare on the Olympic Peninsula announced that they are moving forward with a non-binding letter of intent to partner on tertiary (specialty and sub-specialty) care. Forks Community Hospital is also considering a similar partnership with Swedish and will discuss the topic at a board meeting on March 22.
As a regional health-care provider, Swedish is very excited about the possibility of partnering with providers on the peninsula and increasing access to specialty care and medical technology for residents of Clallam and Jefferson Counties.
Swedish has had a collaborative relationship with peninsula providers through our Telehealth program, and we look forward to potentially strengthening our relationship in the near future. Olympic and Jefferson are aiming to finalize the letter of intent by April 20.
