Swedish's Charity Care, Interpreter Services Recognized in Local Report about Health-Care Disparities

SEATTLE, March 5, 2009 -- The Seattle Times published an article March 4 about a report that was recently released by four local, grassroots community organizations about health-care disparities, especially among minorities and the poor.

Three of the report's four organizing groups included Northwest Federation of Community Organizations, Washington Community Action Network, and the Minority Executive Directors Coalition.

In the report, Swedish's charity care and interpreter services were recognized as helpful and effective.
