What if you could build a brand new hospital from scratch? How would you build it to be the most patient-friendly, forward-thinking facility of its kind?
Someday, there will be a hospital built to challenge our idea of what a hospital should be.
Someday, there will be a hospital focused on both healthier patients and a healthier planet.
And someday, there will be a hospital that is as much a place to gather as it is to heal.
Join us on Saturday, July 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to explore the cure for the common hospital. It’s an exciting time, and we’re looking forward to opening this innovative, patient-centric facility to serve the residents of Greater Issaquah/Sammamish and East King County.
You can also:
TOUR THE FACILITY
Come check out the newest medical center in Issaquah. Tour the Surgery Department, Cancer Center, Imaging Center and ER on the first floor, in addition to walking through all of these new clinics and offices in our medical office building: primary care, OB/GYN, orthopedics, cardiology, neurology, surgery, pediatric specialty, spine, pain, allergy, gastroenterology, outpatient rehabilitation and more! Come meet all the Swedish doctors and make your medical appointment.
ATTEND FREE CLASSES AND GET A FREE HEALTH SCREENING
Register to attend a class on joint replacement, sports medicine, heart health, and your spine. There are also classes on allergies, pediatric sport injuries, colon health, keeping your skin healthy as you age, food labels, and more. Also, pre-register for a free health screening at the open house event.
"ASK A DOCTOR" AT THEIR CLINICS
Doctors from all of our clinics will be on hand to answer your questions, sign you up for appointments, and show you around their new offices.
FAMILY FUN & ACTIVITIES INSIDE
Have your kids bring their favorite teddy bear, doll or toy to our "Teddy Bear Clinic" in the ER for a check-up. Visit the caricature artist on the second floor to get a wacky portrait, then head to third floor for a fun photo-op (then decorate a keepsake frame for your picture). On the fourth floor, we'll have finger-casting for kids. Stop by between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to meet former Seattle Mariners first baseman John Olerud!
In addition, there is more fun for kids: "Stamping Around Swedish". The first 2,000 kids who collect passport stamps from around Swedish/Issaquah can redeem their passport card for a free 12" Swedish Build-a-Bear teddy bear. Pick up your passport on the fifth floor from our Swedish Pediatric Specialty Clinic, then collect stamps from locations around the new hospital (inside and out). Once you visit all 12 locations for a stamp, turn in your completed passport at our gift shop Lily and Pearl for a new Swedish teddy bear. (Limit, first 2,000 kids.)
FAMILY FUN AT HIGHLANDS DAYS
After you tour our facility, head outside for more family fun at Issaquah Highlands Day! The festival includes live entertainment, bouncy houses, vendor booths, kids' carnival games and more.
