Swedish Neurosurgeon, Patient Discuss Brain Tumors on Radio Program

SEATTLE, July 5, 2007 -- Like so many areas of modern medicine, the fields of neuroscience and neurosurgery have experienced exciting medical and clinical research developments over the last few years. One area that has benefited
from many of those advancements is our knowledge of and ability to more successfully treat brain tumors.

In an effort to help increase consumer awareness about brain tumors, Gregory Foltz, M.D. -- a neurosurgeon and researcher with Swedish Neuroscience Institute -- along with one of his patients who was successfully treated for a deadly brain tumor took part in a live interview July 1 on KVI Radio (AM 570) in Seattle. Patient Power Host Andrew Schorr facilitated the call-in-format interview.
