SEATTLE, June 1, 2007 -- Swedish was one of 53 local organizations highlighted in Seattle Business Monthly's annual survey of the Puget Sound region's top employers.
Published in the June issue, Swedish was recognized among large companies. Information categories included "industry, number of employees, retirement, percent of health premium, additional wellness programs, paid days off at one year, and cool perks."
According to the publication, the firms featured were identified through surveys,
research, reader tips and interviews with employees, employers and human resource
professionals. Seattle Business Monthly sent surveys to more than 1,200
Puget Sound region businesses that had been identified as top companies. They
asked for information on those factors that make certain workplaces great --
everything from benefits and health coverage to tuition reimbursements, performance
reviews and management practices. Every survey returned was evaluated, with
each category receiving a numeric score. Firms that met the scoring threshold
were reviewed in
more detail. Those businesses with the highest overall scores and best practices were included.
