  • 11:45 - Somebody wrote a note (by hand!) and handed it to the security team at First Hill. It reads:
"To whom it may concern, we arrived about 6am for surgery scheduled for 9am. A big thank you & great job to all of the workers out there in the freezing rain keeping the sidewalks clear. They have been going non-stop since we arrived."
We agree  - a big thank you again to all of our staff, employees, physicians, and nurses - and others in the city and surrounding areas working to keep the streets and sidewalks safe and passable!

Hi Kevin,

The status of the roads continue to change based on the weather, but the roads immediately around First Hill are high priority and should stay pretty clear. Coming up the hill, Madison has been kept pretty clear throughout the storms and also brings you straight to Swedish First Hill if James is closed. Here's the link to more directions and a map if you need it: http://swedish.org/Locations/First-Hill-Campus/First-Hill-Map-and-Directions and remember 911 if you have a medical emergency.

What's the best route for getting to Swedish First Hill in the snow? I only know how to get there via Boren or James, but I understand these are closed now. Which roads do ambulances take? I have a pregnant wife, and would like to be prepared just in case... thanks
