SEATTLE, Jan. 28, 2008 -- The Seattle Post-Intelligencer (P-I) today published an article by consumer-health reporter Cherie Black about the new Center for Advanced Brain Tumor Treatment founded by Swedish Neuroscience Institute neurosurgeon and researcher Greg Foltz, M.D.
The article describes the Center, what it will entail and provide once it fully launches in July 2008, and the reasons why Dr. Foltz committed to founding this very important -- but under supported -- cause. The article, which appeared in the Seattle (or local) section of the newspaper, includes perspectives from -- and a photo of -- one of Dr. Foltz's patients.
The piece goes on to mention that the Fund-A-Need focus at this year's Celebrate Swedish gala dinner auction, which is slated for Saturday, May 31, will benefit the new Center for Advanced Brain Tumor Treatment at Swedish/Cherry Hill. It also mentions that a first-ever Seattle walk for brain cancer in Seattle is planned for June 2008.
