SEATTLE, Feb. 22, 2006 -- Imagine being able to shut off a disease that has dominated your entire life with just the flip of a switch or the push of a button. If only it were that easy! But for one local man, it is.
On Feb.22, KING Television's Evening Magazine program (channel 5; NBC) aired a story about Seattle resident Matthew Miller, his long-time battle with Essential Tremor Syndrome and a relatively new technology -- Deep Brain Stimulation -- that he greatly benefitted from recently thanks to the expertise of movement-disorder specialists with the Seattle Neuroscience Institute at Swedish Medical Center.
