Swedish to Open a Primary-Care Clinic in Snoqualmie on Jan. 4

SNOQUALMIE, WA, Dec. 22, 2009 – Swedish Physicians, a network of 13 primary-care clinics located throughout the Puget Sound area, is opening its 14th clinic in the Snoqualmie Ridge neighborhood on Monday, Jan. 4. The clinic, which provides primary-care services for patients of all ages, is located off Snoqualmie Parkway at 37624 S.E. Fury St., Suite 101.

The physicians who will practice at Swedish Physicians Snoqualmie are Mary Lambe, M.D., a family medicine practitioner, and Azra Rehman, M.D., who specializes in internal medicine. They will be joined by a second internist, Mark Kasper, M.D., who will begin seeing patients in February. A fourth physician – with a focus on family medicine – will join the clinic in April.

Dr. Lambe specializes in caring for patients of all ages – from pediatric to geriatric care. She also has special interests in women's health and travel medicine. A Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Lambe earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan and completed her residency at the University of California Los Angeles.

Dr. Azra's clinical interests include cardiovascular risk management, screening and management for diabetes, hypertension, peripheral vascular disease and stroke prevention. She attended Kyber Medical College of Pehsawar in Pakistan and completed her residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

Swedish Physicians Snoqualmie Clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The clinic will extend its weekday hours and open on Saturdays beginning in February. Services include family medicine; adolescent medicine; geriatric medicine; pediatric care; school, sports and annual physicals; preventive health screening and education; and minor surgical procedures. Lab and general diagnostic X-ray services are available on site.
