SEATTLE, Dec. 3, 2009 – Swedish, the largest, most comprehensive nonprofit health-care provider in the Greater Seattle area, recently opened a new clinic in Ballard dedicated to obstetrical and gynecological care.
Swedish OB/GYN Specialists provides a complete range of obstetrical and gynecological services for women through all stages of their lives – from adolescence to menopause. Services and surgical specialties available at the clinic include:
- Obstetrical care (low- and high-risk pregnancies)

- Family planning and contraceptive options

The practice is staffed by two experienced board-certified physicians:
Dorcas (Dori) McLennan, M.D., has been caring for women in Washington state for nearly 20 years and has been voted by her peers as one of Seattle's ‘Top Doctors' three different times. She earned her medical degree from the University of Washington (U.W.) and completed residencies at the University of New Mexico and the U.W. She is fluent in Portuguese and speaks conversational Spanish.
Zachary Pollack, M.D., provides a complete range of services with special interests in minimally invasive and incontinence surgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed his residency at the University of California San Francisco at Fresno. He speaks intermediate medical and conversational Spanish.
Swedish OB/GYN Specialists is located in the Ballard Professional Plaza at 1801 N.W. Market St., Suite 207 on the Swedish Ballard campus. It is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
