SEATTLE, Aug. 5, 2009 – Swedish Physicians, a network of 12 primary-care clinics located throughout the Puget Sound area, just opened a new clinic in Redmond on Aug. 3. Located at 15670 Redmond Way, it provides primary-care services for patients of all ages.
Long-time Redmond physician, Douglas McDonald, M.D., is the clinic medical director and available to start seeing patients at any time. Dr. McDonald will be joined by a second family practitioner – Rashno Davoodi, M.D. – who will begin seeing patients Sept. 1.
Dr. McDonald specializes in preventive medicine, cardiovascular risk management, cholesterol management and office surgeries. His other clinical interests include sports medicine, nutrition and diabetes. He is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed a residency at San Bernardino County Medical Center in California.
Dr. McDonald founded Redmond Family Health, a private family medicine practice, and later managed it as Evergreen Medical Group’s Redmond clinic. He has been practicing medicine in Redmond since 1985.
Swedish Physicians Redmond Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Services include family medicine; adolescent medicine; geriatric medicine; pediatric care; school, sports and annual physicals; preventive health screening and education; orthopedic care; sports medicine; diabetes care; dermatology; and no-scalpel vasectomy.
